More than half a million copies of the original Real Meals cookbook have already been sent to schools and more than a year on it is still as popular as ever with this second edition now including an even wider range of 32 recipes including: fruity muffins, crunchy fish sticks and perfect pear surprise.

Please note that secondary schools are allowed to order up to 300 free copies for their Year 7 pupils only. Schools with larger cohorts may still order and receive enough free copies for their Year 7 students, but the order will need to be approved by the DCSF before processing. Other users can order priced copies at £7.99 each.

The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families invited Sir Jim Rose to lead an independent review of the primary national curriculum. The review's final proposals were published in April 2009 and formed the basis of this curriculum reform consultation. Conferences, focus groups and stakeholder engagements were also organised during this consultation period. This report contains the outcomes of the public consultation.
