The Know It All content is based on Childnet’s experience of talking to young people about internet and mobile phone safety and presenting the issues in schools over many years.

The different learning modules have been deliberately designed in an engaging, interactive style which mirrors some of the actual online environments young people are used to (e.g. Chat, Instant Messaging, games, online quizzes, etc.). The presentation will run on any computer (Mac or PC) with Flash Player, although some features require sound and internet access.

KIA is not linear, and the modules can be used in any order that suits lesson plans. It can be used by teachers for a whole-class presentation, or even a whole-school assembly and certain sections can be used by pupils in their own directed learning. It is recommended that teachers familiarise themselves with the teachers’ guide and the whole of the CD-Rom before using it.
